I’m Leslie “XPLovecat” Horn, a developmental editor and book coach for fantasy, sci-fi, and horror writers. I specialize in helping nerdy, imaginative authors build strong story foundations through analytical cheerleading and years of storytelling experience (honed at countless RPG tables). My mission? To give even the weirdest stories the structure they deserve—without sucking the fun out of the process.
What’s Included in Your Strategy Session for $299
1. Big-Picture Project Analysis
You’ll start by filling out a guided worksheet called the Mini Blueprint. It helps clarify your story’s concept, characters, and worldbuilding so I can review the big picture and offer insight on what’s working and what needs more focus.
2. An Editorial Review
I’ll review your first 3,000 words and provide specific, actionable feedback. Whether you need to tighten your horror atmosphere, clarify your magic system rules, or ground your sci-fi opening in emotion and clarity, you’ll know exactly what to focus on next.
3. An In-Depth Conversation
In our 50-minute strategy call, we’ll unpack what’s working and what isn’t, talk through your questions, and map out next steps that fit your genre and your goals. You’ll walk away with motivation and a clear direction for your next draft.
